Executive Order 9066

Students examine Executive Order 9066 and build awareness of Japanese-American wartime experience and the suspension of their civil rights as U.S. citizens. Students create an understanding of the Japanese-American experience during WWII. Students identify and are able to make a connection of current political circumstances (Arab-Americans) with the political climate directly after the beginning of WWII.
