Where in the world would your young geographers like to go? Start this research project by having them create mind maps of all the places they would like to see and then read P.W. Cracker Sees the World. As you read, pause to create a chart of the places P.W. goes and what he sees (a T-chart would work well here). Researchers pick one of the places from their personal lists to research with the goal of finding three facts. They synthesize their findings in a letter discussing their visit as if they had actually been to the destinatio. Find a sample letter from P.W., a worksheet to organize facts, and several research links here. Everything is included here, so go for it!
