Factors

Students analyze how to make change for one dollar using only groups of the same coin in order to become familiar with the concepts of factor, product, prime, and composite. In this math instructional activity, students analyze the number of factors for products one through twelve and define prime and composite numbers for products one through twenty. Students play a factor game, where they use a grid to practice identifying factors.

I train teachers pre-K-12 to use the arts to teach any subject (arts integration). Lesson Planet has given me some great ideas to share as we all attempt to make the arts an important part of every child's education.
