Fantasy vs. Realism

What is real? What is fantasy? Fifth graders travel through the wardrobe to visit Narnia and use a T-Chart to record fantastic and realistic elements in C.S. Lewis’ The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. They then adopt a character, draw a picture of this character, and craft a short descriptive paragraph of the character. Consider expanding the lesson with a discussion of the realistic elements in the portrayal of the fantasy characters like Aslan.
