Finding Smallest Difference

In this subtraction instructional activity, students arrange the numbers 3, 7, 2, and 5 to get the smallest difference. Students write the numbers in the boxes and then find the difference. Students explain how they know this is the best way for them to arrange the numbers to get the smallest difference.
