On September 11th, both men and women came to the rescue. Here, scholars learn about a woman firefighter who risked her life to help victims on the traumatic day. Pupils discuss how firefighters are often portrayed as men, and that woman are indeed an integral part of the profession. They then share—in picture form—their hopes and dreams for what they want to be when they grow up.
