Five Years Later

Students read an article about the five year anniversary of September 11. As a class, they discuss whether or not it is right to hurt someone because you do not like what they are doing just as the terrorists do. Individually, they write a letter to Osama Bin Laden sharing their feelings about the events of September 11. To end the lesson, they discuss what should be done to remember the fifth anniversary.

When plans are needed, and time is short, I begin here for help from my colleagues. The framework of lessons, excellent worksheets, and multimedia presentations has proved extremely helpful.
