Drawing and sculpting have two things in common, observation and skill. Build skills in creating artistic representations of found objects. Children can bring in any found item as their inspiration. They will pencil sketch the object, draw it in charcoal, and then use clay to create a three-dimensional model of what they found. This activity would work nicely into a study of pop art such as that seen in the work of Andy Warhol.
