Fraction Spelling

Eighth graders fold a sheet of paper to create four columns. The first step is to write the week's spelling words in the first column. In the second column, the students write in the fraction form for the number of vowels in each word. They then write the number of consonants in fraction form, in the third column. In the last column, the students draw a pie graph divided into equal parts for the number of letters of the spelling word.
