Fractions in Action

What do the original thirteen colonies have to do with fractions? This learning game puts them together. Tackle those improper fractions and mixed numbers by using hands-on manipulatives. Cuisenaire rods, fraction bars, recipes and games are used to explore the properties and relationships between various fractions. Learners create mixed numbers from improper fractions and solve equivalent fraction equations. Note: This is a full unit!
