While designed for computer science, the activity here could be used in any instructional activity involving communication or problem solving. In a game similar to Mastermind, one group member is the controller and is able to see the numbers on a series of objects. The rest of the group must ask yes/no questions and give commands to the controller to get the objects in numerical order. The are a series of progressively difficult challenges once the objects are sorted.
- Interesting and engaging
- Shows learners that computer programming skills don't need to involve a computer
- Detailed instructions for both learners and teacher
- Instructions may be a bit too detailed (25 pages for a 3-hour lesson)
