Youngsters examine ten pairs of numbers, circling in each the greatest value. Only numbers 1-10 are used. Although this is a simple activity, you can make it more interactive by laminating and cutting out the cards, and giving each learner a set. Put a colored square on the back of each, and have them turn all cards over on their desk. Announce a color, and after they flip the card have learners show the greater (or least) value number by covering the other up.
