Grouping and Regrouping Sets

Students count sets of objects, then create new sets by regrouping the objects differently. They discover that this can be accomplished in a variety of ways. For example, 7 cubes can be represented by 5 red cubes and 2 yellow cubes, or 4 blue cubes and 3 green cubes.

I subscribed to Lesson Planet after I started teaching science at my district's alternative school. Science isn't my specialty so it has been a real life saver! I am able to find lots resources to enrich my lessons! It's a tremendous time saver too! Why reinvent the wheel?
