Students follow a Hanukkah picture book by using the specially created table. The table shows each of the eight days, the appropriate number of candles for each night, and a written and picture representation of an activity for each night. After the book is read, the students spin dreidles, and the candles on the menorah are lit, the class make potato lakes.

Being a first year foreign language teacher came with many trials. However, having Lesson Planet has made my job so much easier :). I can always find a few lessons on any given concept I am introducing to my students. The neatest thing is the agility of use the site provides and the search for lessons by grade. I love that! (Especially since I teach 4th - 8th graders.) I need a variety of lessons that meets my students' needs at their level.
