Horses

Through the use of books and role play, younsters discover many interesting things about horses. After a show-and-tell session where you share pictures and stories about horses, kids get to pretend to actually be a horse! They walk in a ring, gallop, and trot. Low "fences" are set up for them to jump over, and a snack of apples, carrots, and oat cereal is eaten at the end of their workout. A nice idea, based on the Arthur episode: "Francine Frensky, Olympic Rider."
