Students analyze how hurricanes are formed and how different coastal animals are affected by these storms. They research the conditions necessary for hurricanes to develop by constructing their own miniature "hurricanes" with hot water and tissue paper. They will also examine how a hurricane looks by seeing pictures and doing tornado tube simulations.

I am a special eduction teacher at a High School in Texas. I teach 45 subjects in 7 periods. Without Lesson Planet, I would drown just in the preparation. Thanks Lesson Planet.
