Pupils can watch as the character in this presentation climbs the plot diagram mountain. After a definition of plot, the mountaineer pauses at each of the following levels for clarification: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution.
- Extend the lesson by asking your class to use the information from the presentation to diagram the plot of a story or book you are reading
- Create a guided notes page to go along with the information in the presentation, or encourage your class to use Cornell notes to organize the information
- The animation of the character is effective and adds some fun to a basic plot presentation
- The presentation is a good length for upper-elementary and middle school; it doesn't include more information than learners could digest in one sitting
