Is There Life on Mars?

In these word meanings in context worksheets, students read the passage about life on Mars. Students use clues within the text to help them learn the meanings for the words meteorites, organisms, microbes, missions, robotic, orbit, and probe. Students then label the picture of Mars with the vocabulary words and complete a vocabulary activity for microbes, organisms, meteorites, and missions. Students finish by classifying the vocabulary words into alike groups.

Lesson Planet helps me search from such a large variety of creative and innovative teaching ideas from dedicated teachers. I am always looking for ideas to better teach my students and solicit the help of others in the education field. Many of the lessons guide students from concrete to abstract learning. Keep up the great work!
