Japanese-Americans at Granada During World War II

Young historians develop an understanding of the plight of Japanese Americans who were imprisoned against their will during World War II. They read first-hand accounts of some of the prisoners, view images of the Amache Center Camp in Colorado, and write a diary entry based on a day in the life of an internment child.

Being a first year foreign language teacher came with many trials. However, having Lesson Planet has made my job so much easier :). I can always find a few lessons on any given concept I am introducing to my students. The neatest thing is the agility of use the site provides and the search for lessons by grade. I love that! (Especially since I teach 4th - 8th graders.) I need a variety of lessons that meets my students' needs at their level.
