Japanese Folktale and Kabuki Theatre

Students listen to a Japanese folktale and examine the type of theater from Japan called Kabuki Theater. They watch a video of a Kabuki Theater performance, discuss the elements of the theater, and create a mask inspired by the Kumadori make-up from the video. While the teacher reads a Japanese folktale, the students act out the story while wearing their masks.
