This Lesson Plan 1: Introducing NanoWriMo and Getting Rid of the Inner Editor lesson plan also includes:
Make sure your budding authors put away their inner-editors until the time as come! As a start to the creative process and a larger writing unit, this is an introductory lesson for aspiring novel-writers. They ponder the word creativity, complete a KWL about the project, and clear up expectations. Discuss the class' inner editors, which you encourage them to put away until the initial draft is completed. They draw a picture of this editor on a worksheet (not included, but easily found online). Make this tangible by "collecting" all the inner editors in an actual box, not to be released until December!
