Bright Lights, Big Cities

Fourth graders talk about the difference between weather and climate. Weather deals with what takes place at a particular time for a particular location, while climate deals with long-term weather patterns. They visit a Web site that uses both whole numbers and decimals to give information about the climate of many U.S. cities. Students use decimals at this site to answer questions and make travel decisions.
