Counting Coins

First graders observe monetary combinations. Given a specified website, 1st graders view pictures of toys. They demonstrate computer skills by enlarging pictures and opening windows. Children observe the price of each toy. In groups, pupils demonstrate different combinations of coins they can use to purchase the toy. Students explain why it is helpful to count money.
