Write a Dialogue

Fifth graders discover what the underground railroad was and how it was important to slaves. They are to follow one route of the underground railroad, pick one legendary stop and explore why the people behind this stop were so successful. Students then write a dialogue between a former runaway slave and someone who helped the slave to reach freedom.
