Library of Congress Solitaire

Fifth graders research the Library of Congress. In this Library of Congress instructional activity, 5th graders view a tutorial of the outline and call numbers of the Library of Congress classification system. Students create posters to identify the 21 general subject areas. Students then plan a visit to a college library and create playing cards of books from the library using index cards. Students then play a game with the cards like Solitaire.
