Life Masks

Students explore the art of Isaac Scott Hathaway. They define and examine the use of "life masks." As a class, they observe examples of life masks from around the world. Individually, students create their own life mask. As time permits, students discuss Hathaway's use of plaster and clay to create sculptures.
