Looking At Punctuation

Pupils are read a variety of books stopping to discuss puncutation and fluency. With a partner, they read a book outloud and identify the purpose of the various puncutation marks. They are recording reading outloud to listen to how the puncutation changes the reading. To end the lesson, they practice writing a story making sure to use puncutation correctly.

Lesson Planet has given me great ideas for 3rd grade science hands-on activities! I even got a note from one of my principals observing my class while I was using one of the lessons that I found through this website; she LOVED what I was doing and that the kids were excited and very involved.
