Students explore communication methods in the American West. In this History of the American West instructional activity, students discover facts and myths about the time period and the methods of communication used in the 19th century. Students identify primary and secondary sources and discuss systems of communication and transportation during the 19th century and today. The instructional activity includes a creative activity and a game activity to reinforce learning.
