Make an Aquifer

Students create models of the rock and sediment layers found in the subsurface of the Earth's lithosphere. They include strips of styrofoam which, in turn, create aquifers when water is poured through. They mark the location of the aquifers and examine what happens to the rest of the water. finally, they experiment with straws to represent the drilling of a well.
