Pupils take on the role of one of the stakeholders, discuss the multiple perspectives involved, explore the geography of the area in question, and compose decision statements. A very detailed plan complete with additional materials, this would be great in an environmental studies class or in a humanities class. Since the instructional activity is based on close analysis of given materials, science and English teachers could collaborate to make it happen!
