Making Words My Own

Fourth graders use the Frayer Model to acquire knowledge of new vocabulary by characteristics, examples and non-examples. This lesson is designed to help students absorb the meaning of a word once the "official definition" is known. Identifying key words and discover their meanings and relationships through a variety of strategies.
