Manufacturing Lesson Plan

High schoolers examine how technological advances affect production. They compare and contrast mass-produced goods with those that are individually made. Students discuss economic decisions by identifying consequences and the opportunity costs. In teams, they create furniture using both the individual method and the assembly line method. High schoolers discuss decisions about their furniture company.
