Sometimes the best way to understand a poem is to mimic the poet's style in your own writing. The last video in a series about analyzing student poetry shows sixth graders to copy a poet's style as a way to connect with the work, as well as begin a poem of their own. The video would be helpful for all levels of readers, especially struggling readers or English learners.
