Mix, Match, Freeze on Civil Rights

Seventh graders examine the ten key events in the history of the civil rights movement in the United States. They participate in a game in which they match their card of a key date, name of event, or significance of event with the other missing information of the civil rights event. Groups of three match their cards without talking then explain their event to the rest of the class once all ten events are matched correctly.
