Mixing Primary Colors

Students explore the concept of primary and secondary colors. In this art and vocabulary lesson plan, students make a "rainbow squeeze" out of red, blue, and yellow gelatin. Colors blend to make various shades as the students squeeze a partially solidified bag of the mixture. Students paint basic shapes and observe the result of mixing two primary colors.
