Students read the book Monster's Lunch Box by Marc Brown and discuss the story in groups. They write a recipe using their favorite "food phase" from Monster's Lunch Box such as; gopher guts, liver jelly, prehistoric pickle, belly button lint, etc. then they illustrate their recipes and share them with the class.
