Muddy Water

Students collect data on the turbidity of water.  In this data collection on the turbidity of water lesson, students record the amount of light passing through a water sample.  Students add dirt 10 grams at a time to the water and record the light intensity.  Students make a scatter plot of the data.  Students discuss the meaning of the y-intecepts and shape of the graph.
