Music: Tititorea - Beats and Rhythms

Third graders sing the New Zealand folk song "Tititorea" and use it to recognize note duration including dotted half notes, whole notes, and whole rests. With partners, they imitate the teacher's motions as they sing the song. In two groups, one can pat the beat while the other pats the rhythm of the words.
