Musical Theater

Learners discuss a play, movie, or TV show that included a character that they sympathized with. They examine Broadway musicals and discuss the history, ideas, social movements, and individuals that are examined in this art form. Students participate in an improvisation scene, first performing naturally, then speeding up the scene. They discuss musical theater and how this form differs from the other forms of theater.
