Naming and Tracing Shapes

What shape is this? Young mathematicians learn their shapes by tracing in this 4-part exercise. The shapes include an octagon, a rectangle, a triangle, and a heart. Each is outlined with a dotted line, as is its name below it. Students trace both the shape and name to practice name-shape recognition, as well as fine motor and handwriting skills. Consider offering a challenge by having them find cut out the squares and tape them to things around the room with a similar shape.
