On Market Street

Students view several coins and discuss what they would do if they had some of these coins. They tell who they would spend the coins for, and what they might buy. Students practice the vocabulary words they will need for this lesson (consumer, producer, goods). They read, or listen as the teacher reads the first page of the text. Students discuss each page of the book as it is read.

What an awesome site! I have been able to find so many great starter ideas that I have been able to work from, expand, or simply use as written. Many of the history lessons are so well thought-out and complete. Wonderful!
