Owl Pellet Investigation

For this owl pellet investigation worksheet, students predict the number of skulls they will discover. Then students illustrate and describe the content of their owl pellet. Students measure the length, width, and mass of their pellet. Students record and sketch different bones they find. Students calculate the class average and range of bones found and predict how many animals were consumed. Students write an analysis of the owl's diet based on their observations.
