Patterns in Measurement

Sixth graders use squares and cubes to find patterns in perimeter, area, and volume. They analyze algebraic expressions, tables, and graphs to determine patterns, relations, and rules. Finally, 6th graders use Excel to create three graphs, one for perimeter, one for area, and one for volume, using information during the activity.

I just transferred mid-year to an art teacher position; it has been more than 15 years since I taught art. I needed some quick ideas to get started. Thank you Lesson Planet!
