Persuasive Text: Slanted Language

Use this resource to introduce pathos and emotional appeal as slanted or loaded language in persuasive writing. You introduce the concept of slant and provide guided practice in identifying loaded language using examples that are provided. To extend, I'd have everyone look through magazines to find examples of how language that appeals to the emotions is used in advertising (the ultimate form of persuasion!).

Your site is extremely easy to maneuver, and your search engine sorts beautifully--down to the grade level and super-specific subject matter. As a graduate student, studying for my teacher's license, I've found great, creative inspiration in the content links on your site. I count on your site more than any other I've found to date.
