Picking Apples

Show your learners how useful math can be in real life! This word problem poses a scenario in which Anna has to choose between two orchards at which to pick forty pounds of apples. Given the two orchards' prices, scholars calculate the best option. They show their processing, and explain in writing how they figured it out. There is a lot of room here for showing work, but it isn't very visually appealing.
