Plane Crash

Students read an article about the plane crash into the side of a building by Cory Lidle. As a class, they determine if this event deserves to be on the front page. In groups, they create mock interviews with Lidle to determine his reasons for flying where he did that fateful day. They also research the effect of wind on flying to end the instructional activity.

When plans are needed, and time is short, I begin here for help from my colleagues. The framework of lessons, excellent worksheets, and multimedia presentations has proved extremely helpful.
