Problem-Solving Strategy: Use Models to Act It Out: Enrichment

In this fraction instructional activity, 5th graders use the table for fractions of times a lion, tiger, and bear sleeps. Students use fraction strips as models to act out and solve the problem. Students then explain how counters would help them solve the problem and finish by comparing the amount of hours slept by the animals.
