Rates of Chemical Reactions: Combustion Reactions

How does a burning candle represent a combustion reaction? Use this activity to reinforce your young chemists' knowledge of chemical reactions. After drawing a picture of a lit candle and labeling it accordingly (no actual candle is required, but you could use one anyway), students answer two questions about the combustion reaction they are seeing. This activity would be a good homework activity after a lecture on combustion.
