Read The Words, Copy The Words, Finish The Sums
Young readers and mathematicians engage in both disciplines at the same time. First, they read ten basic sight words aloud. Then, they copy each of the words in the boxes provided. Finally, they must solve 25 basic addition and subtraction problems. This would be a good in-class assessment to see how your charges are doing in these two curricular areas.
