Instructional Ideas

  • Search the document for appropriate texts for whatever you are teaching ; you can use command or control plus F to search the document or try out the split table of contents
  • Create summer reading lists or suggest independent reading books to your pupils by choosing appropriate books from these lists
Classroom Considerations

  • Note that the majority of the texts will support ELA instruction, but there are materials for other subjects
  • There is a table of contents; however, it is split into two pages by the included worksheets (the first page is on page one of the document, and the second page is on page eighteen of the document)
  • The books and stories are organized into topics, which are then organized in rough alphabetical order (after mostly ELA resources, there is a short collection of lists for other topics and subjects); the final section organizes books by genre and grade level
Pros

  • There are so many books and stories listed here, you may never need to find another list for your curriculum ever again
Cons

  • The formatting in the document is not the best, but it will still prove to be a useful resource for many teachers
